Set Party Menus

Over 50% of hardys' business involves large group bookings. The following information is for you and us to help make your evening as cost effective and enjoyable as possible. We like to get it right so that you keep coming back for more.

You must contact us proior to your booking to let us know your choice of set menu and your exact numbers. We do not take a deposit, we operate on a trust and respect basis. If you wish to cancel or your numbers go up or down you must let us know.

It is recommended the you choose One of the set menus because:
  • It works out to be over 10% cheaper than the regular menu
  • As a group it makes the costings fair and easy to divide up as a bill
  • It's a great help to us and promotes an efficient service.
    Please note: Friday and Saturday night tables of 10 or more MUST have the set menu 1,2 or 3

    Please do not give us your order in advance. We feel it is better service to take your order at the table. All the food is freshly prepared therefore it does not save time to have pre-selections. All we need to know in advance is which one of the three set menu's you wish to have.

    Please be as punctual as possible as if you run late it affects the whole restaurant for the rest of the evening. Why not arrange to meet at the bar 20 to 30 minutes before seating?

    Parking for 100 cars is available at the rear of the Sommerfields supermarket, which is situated opposite Hardys. This is a free council car park. You may leave your car overnight in designated areas.

    Party Packs are available at a cost of £1 per head. The packs include helium balloons party poppers, streamers and a cocktail of the day for the star guest and a gift. This is a very popular item which adds to the occasion and is well worth the money. There is also a ·deal· available on buckets of beer, house wine, cakes, live entertainment etc which can be arranged prior to the occasion.

    Nachos
    - Corn tortilla chips covered with melted cheese and red hot chilli peppers, served with salsa.

    Cheese and Bacon Skins - 2 deep fried potato skins loaded with cheese and bacon and served with a sour cream dip.

    Buffalo Wings - Hot and spicy chicken wings served with a blue cheese dip and tortilla chips.

    Jalapeno Poppers - half a dozen breaded jalapeno chillies, filled with cream cheese, deep-fried and served with orange poppyseed and ginger dip

    Main Course


    Mexican Chunky Chilli - A big bowl of home made chilli, made with chuck steak and topped with sour cream and chives (we serve our chilli medium hot with red hot chilli peppers on the side). Served with Mexica rice and salad

    Hawaiian Chicken - A chargrilled chicken breast covered in ham, fresh pineapple and melted cheese. Served with fries, corn-bread and salad

    Full Rack of Ribs - A large rack of hickory smoked pork ribs with a spicy BBQ sauce. Served with fries and salad

    Chicken Burrito - A large flour tortilla filled with diced breast of chicken, onions, peppers, tomatos, beans and melted cheese. Topped with salsa,guacamole and sour cream. served with Mexican rice and salad

    Fruit's of the sea - Deep fried calamari, queen scallops and plaice goujons with housemade tartare sauce

    Guacamole Basket - Our home made dip with avocados, tomato, onions and spices. Served in a corn basket with a variety of crispy vegetables.

    Crab Cakes- Hand prepared, finest white flaked crab combined with seasoned potato,fresh corriander and parsley coated in bread crumbs, with home style tartare sauce. Served with Mexican Rice and salad.

    Chorizo in Red Wine - Traditional sausage pan-fried in red wine.

    Main Course


    Chicken Fajitas - Pan-fried with onion and pepper strips, served sizzling with warm soft flour tortillas, salsa, guacamole, grated cheese and sour cream.

    Hardy Steak - Prime top sirloin 8oz (226g) - Chargrilled to your liking, comes with our own Boston beans, fries and salad.

    Chimichangas - A deep-fried chicken burrito covered with melted Monterey Jack cheese. Served with salsa and sour cream dips, Mexican rice and salad.

    Crab Cakes - Hand prepared, finest white flaked crab combined with seasoned potato,fresh corriander and parsley coated in bread crumbs, with home style tartare sauce. Served with Mexican Rice and salad.

    Salmon Steak - A prime salmon fillet cooked the Cajun way, drizzled with lemon and garlic butter. Served with Mexican Rice and salad.
